Inspired by cutting-edge design and luxury goods packaging, winemaker Lawrence Fairchild combines extreme detail and modern art influences to create the most collectible wine bottles in the world: Stones wine. A singular expression of Napa Valley terroir. Each iteration of Stones fuses Fairchild’s passion for the abstract with highly rated wines to produce rare bottles that transcend the vintage inside. Fairchild has created the “Hermes" of Napa Valley with his creation of Stones.

Raised on a cattle and crop farm in rural Nebraska, Lawrence Fairchild learned early on that the best land and careful farming practices yielded superior quality. After studying Economics and Political Science at the University of Nebraska, Lawrence pivoted to a career on Capitol Hill in Washington DC to his passion for wines. Fairchild began studying the wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux. He began producing Cabernet Sauvignon in 2005, seeking out small sections of rows in exclusive and rare vineyards in the Napa Valley.

As someone with an eye for modern art and design - he names KAWS, Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Wosene, Cédric Bouteiller, and Alexander McQueen among the artists he admires. Lawrence now comes full circle, with a dedication to producing an ever-evolving portfolio of meticulously-crafted, design-forward wines, all of which are award-winning and highly-allocated.  

Wines of this caliber deserve a second look and certainly some notable recognition for the effort of art and mindfulness that goes into each vintage harvested. Stones is an exclusive limited production of grapes originating out of the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon region. Hand-selected by proprietor Lawrence Fairchild, he designs these bottles turned art-pieces with great detail. They are meant to be the focal point of Larry’s wine collections. Designed with collectors in mind, the (Stones No. 1, Stones No. 2, Stones No. 3) involves extreme detail of craftsmanship: a label that is artfully formed by Fairchild after 18 months of careful design, then hand-illustrated before it's hand-pressed in paper-thin zinc in Bordeaux - and applied to each bottle by hand. The meticulously-crafted, singular portfolio of limited production Cabernet Sauvignons found inside the bottles is sourced from three of the most coveted and difficult to procure vineyards in Napa Valley. Crafted by French winemaker, Philippe Melka, the Stones collection is one of the most highly rated in the world, ranking in the 95-100 point range for consecutive vintages.
