It’s my favorite time of year, and while in retrospect there is really too much to cover in one blog post, I thought I would focus on the positive today!
Fall is a time of busying ourselves with holiday preparations, back to school and gathering. Gathering in 2020 has its own set of challenges for each of us. What is important to remember is to give yourself an internal check, what feels right, allowing space to work out your fears, release your anxiety and just exist and remain steadfast in the belief that you will be ok. Things will be ok, your stress can be mitigated with the positivity you bring into your world. (I want to say, it goes without saying if you're really struggling professional help is always available. Always know someone cares and is willing to step in to be your support system.)
What does it all mean? For me it begins with lifestyle, food and adventure, however big or small. Taking small moments of everyday life and finding peace and serenity within them. A walk to the store can brighten your spirits by just taking note how beautiful a leaf falling on the ground is, looking at the pattern of the dried leaf and knowing this begins an enormous change for the tree. Naked, bare and exposed to nature, but in Spring this tree has stored up energy while in its dormancy to renew, come alive and begin its sprouting and blooming once again. Just one example of hope. I have needed these thoughts especially this year as I have experienced great loss within my own immediate family. I have sought out more time in the kitchen and with nature because that is where I heal. I hope you will be inspired to find what will renew your soul and find happiness in the small things life presents.
“Mind over matter” is a saying you have most certainly heard before, mood is everything, there are even hashtags to back this up. Food is a gateway to helping you achieve a better outlook. One such mood enhancing delight I am happy to share with you is my Focus Matcha Latte.
Can one drink really help take your mind off your problems? Yes, I feel it can have a definite affect on how you reset your thoughts and attitude. Chef created, this blend of ingredients allows your mind to be clearer, seeing problems for what they are. A calm mind is a focused mind, thus allowing you to feel less anxiety and more in control of that thought or situation. Food is healing, some even say “food is medicine”. While I believe this, what matters is how this philosophy works for you. Consider this while you are searching for the perfect elixirs and food combinations. You will have to experiment to find what suits your mind and body best. I continue to make recommendations from tried and true sources and recipes I create. Some will resonate with you and others will not be for you. The point here is to find your joy and just be you. I will continue to shine the light on what excites me. I am glad you are here to join me on this journey, I never take that for granted and I feel honored each time I sit down to share a slice of my life as it unfolds.
Cheers to your good health,
