EASY RECIPE - Delicious and protein packed breakfast fueling the FIT in you!

I am constantly seeking the good to overcome any bad I may be doing daily within my own dietary intake.  As a food enthusiast, I can honestly say I really LOVE food.  Breakfast has always been a favorite meal of mine for many reasons but mostly because its a time of renewal and a chance to reset the day ahead of you.  

Pancakes, and my love for pancakes started with the wonderful children's book "The Runaway Pancake".  As my grandmother read this little book I would visualize the buttery crispy edges coated in maple syrup and extra butter!  It set the tone I suppose to bring me to this moment.

In my test kitchen I have made a few hundred pancakes and this particular recipe  is one I find easy and health conscious as well as being packed with superfoods.

The ingredients listed and the combination of ingredients were designed for ease as well as taste and health wise choice.  NOTE: this recipe is for adults who train or who are on a fitness program.  If you have a sensitivity to caffeine DO not use the Angry Mills topping.

Banana Hemp Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:

Birch Benders - non-gmo 100% natural and complete pancake and waffle mix ( 4" pancakes) use the 2 cup measurement and follow directions on back of package.

I like this pre-mix quick and easy and dairy free.

Mix in the pancake batter -

2 scoops of OM Mushroom Beauty

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/2 small cube ripe banana

2 tablespoons of Beekeeper's Naturals  superfood Honey with Cacao

4 tablespoons of premium maple syrup of your choice (natural and not artificially sweetened)

4 - 6 tablespoons of Hemp Hearts

1 1/2 thin sliced rip to firm bananas

Angry Mills caffeinated chocolate crazed peanut butter ( NOT FOR CHILDREN )

How to prep pancake:

Follow pancake package instructions.

Heat your green pan and add grass fed butter melted by medium heat.

Add chopped bananas, Om Mushrooms, cinnamon and whip again.

Pour slowly into heated pan about 3-4 tablespoons of mix to make 4" pancakes.

Flip after pancake begins to bubble and get firm it should be light brown in color.

Continue until all batter is cooked.

How to prep toppings:

Mix maple syrup and honey together with small whisk.  Add 1/2 Hemp seeds and mix again.

Stack pancakes pour a little syrup mixture on top and them add a dollop of Angry Mills Chocolate Craze and sliced bananas, then sprinkle remaining hemp seeds.

Add more syrup if you are so inclined-
